ABOUT THE PROGRAM

With start in August 2026 (and 2027-2030), we are proud to offer 14 state-funded YH positions for integrated airline training, providing you with the chance to earn a Commercial Pilot License (CPL). The training will take place full time at Lidköping Hovby Airport.

 

Our Integrated Airline Program is carefully designed to meet the highest standards set by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). This program covers every critical stage of a pilot’s training, blending classroom learning with real-world flight experience. Students progress through rigorous phases that build foundational flying skills, mastery of instruments, multi-engine proficiency, and advanced teamwork techniques using industry-standard simulators. Our aim is simple yet ambitious—to ensure every graduate leaves with the skills to navigate a complex, multi-pilot cockpit environment confidently.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Swedish upper secondary school, municipal adult education or equivalent education from Sweden or abroad.
  • Nordic recident and qualified for education there.
  • English 6, 100p
  • Physics 1, 150p
  • Mathematics 2, 100p
  • Aptitude & Behaviour Test
  • Online Interview
  • EASA Medical Class 1

 

Minimum grade E/3/Pass in the above or equivalent knowledge.

PROGRAM DETAILS

Theoretical Training

During the program you will study both theory at basic level and study 13 ATPL theory subjects followed by written exams for the Swedish Civil Aviation Authority. Ground training will be based on classroom training, distance learning and self-studies.

Flying PHASE 1-3

During phase 1-3 you will learn how to fly an airplane and focus on basic flying skills. The training will be conducted in one of our single engine Diamond DA40 aircraft.

Flying PHASE 4

Phase 4 is all about instrument and multi-engine flying. After this phase you have acquired all the knowledge and skills to be ready to take your License Skill Test where you will gain your wings and become a certified pilot.

Flying Phase 5 - A-UPRT

A-UPRT is the new standard in aviation regulations and is a requirement for anyone starting their first type rating in a multi-pilot environment. Course objective is for the pilot to understand and experience dynamic upset and develope resilience to execute proper recovery during an upset situation.

Flying PHASE 6 - APS-MCC

The last part of your training is the APS-MCC. Here you and a partner will team up in our Airbus A320 simulator and learn how to work together in a multi-pilot environment. In other words, how to operate an airliner.

FINANCING DETAILS



This program is govermental sponsored. The program, which starts in August 2026, is a state-funded YH education, meaning the tuition costs are covered by the state.
Students are eligible to apply for CSN financial support for this program. In addition to tuition, there are costs for obtaining an EASA Medical Class 1 certificate, completing the attitude and behavior test and government fees etc. These additional expenses amount to approximately 80,000 SEK and are covered by the student.

ADMISSION PROCESS

The admission process begins with an application at MYH.se You will find the link above.

Be sure to do both EASA Medical Class 1 test and Aviation psychological aptitude test before April 15th, this is necessary for all applicants due to regulations from Swedish authorities. Add them and your grades from gymnasieskolan in your application.

After the application deadline, a selection process will be carried out by representatives from the school and the aviation industry. Interviews and associated tests will be held online at the end of May or the beginning of June.
